Mi Casa es su Casa

I have always enjoyed sharing my home with family and friends. Hospitality is very important to me.

This past year we had the opportunity to do this in ways we never imagined. An opportunity presented itself for our family to move out of the farmhouse and into a home closer to our kids’ school. Because we wanted to keep the farmhouse, we took a leap of faith and turned the farmhouse into a vacation rental, hoping to one day return to the beautiful property ourselves.

I say that it was a leap of faith because so many things are involved with entrusting your home to strangers--especially a home we put so much love, care and time into over the past three years. But, the thought of others getting to enjoy this peaceful place made our hearts incredibly happy.

God has indeed been faithful and we have had some absolutely lovely guests. It has been a blast watching some of them as they have documented their stays.

From families playing a game of flag football in the open field as your enter our gate,

to others reuniting with relatives from a far over the holidays or to attend a nearby wedding.

Gathering around one of our two firepits seems to be a guest favorite.

We've also had our share of bachelorettes celebrating the soon-to-be bride,

and couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Bridal showers full of scrumptious food have filled the house with such cheer.

But most of all, refreshment is our biggest wish for our guests whether it is found in silly laughter or a snooze in a hammock.

You are also cordially invited to make an escape to the farmhouse. The pleasure is truly ours as we are blessed greatly in return as we share this special place with you! Mi casa es su casa.
